Grades 4-7

At this age, students are ready to learn basic drawing and painting techniques while working in a diverse range of materials. They will work from still life set-ups and photographs as well as be introduced to perspective and color theory. Using these ideas children will be encouraged to experiment and push boundaries. Artists such as Monet, O’Keefe, Van Gogh and Theibaud will influence the projects assigned.

Adults

I offer small group and private lessons to adult students at all levels. Students have the opportunity to work in different media such as charcoal, oil paint, watercolor and chalk/oil pastels. Working on their own projects, from life and from photographs at their own pace. Beginners are welcome.

Life Drawing Classes

Adults and advanced high school students are invited to take figure drawing classes with live models. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to become familiarized with basic anatomy, gesture and contour drawing using charcoal, pastel & oil.
